One light year is one trillion kilometres and if you could fly over Canis Magoris in a 737 at normal speeds, you would complete one full circle of its circumference in about 1000 years. In my case, it took significantly less time to go from love of photography to love for video and love of film to love of big sensors. Having spend a lot of time in cinemas i understood pretty fast what i like and what i don't, what moves me and what doesn't.
At the same time, having a professional carrier in advertising and being constantly surrounded by very talented young people kept me going at a steady pace in a quest for new styles and new forms even though the basics of my appetite for dark, uncomfortable, unusual material always remains with me.
